Congratulations to the following students for their success in the summer intensive auditions and competitions for 2008 Bianca Allanic:Awarded a full scholarship to the Texas Ballet Theater, accepted to Atlanta Ballet, accepted to ABT, accepted to Chatauqua Dance, accepted to The Rock school of dance and accepted to the Orlando Ballet. Bronze medal in The American Dance Competition Primary division. Elizabeth Arencibia: Awarded a partial scholarship to the Orlando Ballet, accepted to The Rock School of Dance and placed in the top 12 in the Youth America Grand Prix competition in the senior division. She was also invited to the NYC Intensive. Silver medal in Classical and contemporary and received the ADC award in the senior division at the American Dance Competition. Sofia Arencibia: Awarded a full scholarship to the School of American Ballet (SAB), Awarded a full scholarship to The Rock School of Dance, Awarded a partial scholarship to the Orlando Ballet and awarded third place in the Youth America Grand Prix competition. She was invited to compete in the finals for YAGP in New York City. Silver medal in Classical and Contemporary in the Junior division of The American Dance Competition and received a full scholarship to The Ajkun Ballet Theater in New York. Sophie Cook: Accepted to the Orlando Ballet Victoria Fuentes: Awarded a partial scholarship to the Orlando Ballet and accepted to The Rock School of Dance Julianna Gillardo: Accepted to the Orlando Ballet and The Rock School of Dance Lynn Rebeka Mantay: Partial scholarship to the Orlando Ballet, accepted to ABT in New York, accepted to The Rock School of Dance and accepted to SAB (School of American Ballet). Also invited to the NYC Intensive for the Youth America Grand Prix. Fourth place in Classical and contemporary in the Junior Division of The American Dance Competition and received a full scholarship for The Lexington Ballet. Janelly Prieto: Awarded a full scholarship to the Atlanta Ballet and accepted to the Ailey Summer intensive, as well as their year round apprentice program, accepted to ABT in New York and accepted to the Orlando Ballet. Gold Medal in the performing arts senior division at The American Dance Competition and received a full scholarship to Ballet Florida for the summer program. Amanda Rodriguez: Accepted to the Orlando Ballet, accepted to Atlanta Ballet, accepted to ABT in New York, accepted to Chatauqua Dance, accepted to Houston Ballet, accepted to The Rock School of Dance and invited to the NYC Intensive for the Youth America Grand Prix. Awarded a full scholarship to Ballet Met at the American Dance Competition. Elise Nuevo was accepted at The Rock School of Dance and received a silver medal in classical primary division at The American Dance Competition. The following dancers were all accepted to The Rock School of Dance: Fatima Andere Kirsten Cosio Saskia Guilbaud Alyssa Hernandez Raina Innocent Rebekah Linero Carolina Navarro Daniela Schindo Artistic Dance Center was awarded "Outstanding School" for 2008 at The American Dance Competition. The ensemble piece of 20 girls "Awakening" received the Gold medal and was recognized for innovative and creative choreography. All the dancers that competed at YAGP and The American Dance Competition received very high scores and were recognized for their outstanding talent, strong technique and artistic qualities. We are very proud of all you. Great job!!!! |
