Priscilla Marrero: Ballet Instructor

Priscilla Marrero, a Miami native, received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance specializing in Performance and Choreography, from Florida International University in April 2009. During her studies, she explored and performed different dance styles such as Modern, Improvisation, and Afro-Brazilian. As a student, she attended various summer programs such as American Ballet Theater in New York and California, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts on scholarship. She also had the opportunity to compete in prestigious competitions such as Youth American Grand Prix, Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland, and International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.

Miss Marrero has had the opportunity to work with local companies such as Animate Objects Physical Theater, Momentum Dance Company, and Josée Garant Dance performing repertory or premiering new works such as “Mandala” by Delma Isles and “Voices” by Josée Garant. On television, she was featured on “So You Think You Can Dance” Season Five during the Miami and Las Vegas auditions. Since 2003, she is grateful to be a member of the Artistic Dance Center family where she has grown as an instructor, student, and choreographer under the direction of Elizabeth Acuña-Nuevo and assistance of Lissette Salgado-Lucas.
